Preparing for Import

Make sure that any important data segmentation already exists within Copper before import
E.g. custom fields for Company Industry (Dropdown), Company Size (Number), B2B vs B2C (Dropdown)

Best Practices

Determine important data segmentation
E.g. company industry, location,
Make sure to first cleanse the data
E.g. All data should be consistent in each column
Ensure required fields are not missing
If referencing company name as a merge field in the email and the company is blank, it will look strange
First/Last Name should be separate columns
Person and company name should be capitalized
Email addresses should be valid and consis
Company names should be capitalized
