Preparing for Import

.1Make sure that any important data segmentation already exists within Copper before import
.aE.g. custom fields for Company Industry (Dropdown), Company Size (Number), B2B vs B2C (Dropdown)

Best Practices

.1Determine important data segmentation
.aE.g. company industry, location,
.2Make sure to first cleanse the data
.aE.g. All data should be consistent in each column
.iEnsure required fields are not missing
.1If referencing company name as a merge field in the email and the company is blank, it will look strange
.iiFirst/Last Name should be separate columns
.iiiPerson and company name should be capitalized
.ivEmail addresses should be valid and consis
