3. DNS Configuration (CNAME & SPF)

Option 1 - Do It Yourself

This is the most secure option, if you have an IT person or web development company that manages your DNS records, please direct them here to follow these steps.

Before

v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all

After

v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com include:servers.outfunnel.com ~all

Option 2 - We'll Do It For You

Please note that DNS records are what your company's email deliverability, website, and others are all reliant on. We do not recommend giving someone access to your DNS settings unless they understand to use them.

For us to do this for you, we'll need your credentials to the platform where your domain is managed.

Verifying DKIM and SPF records

Once you've updated your DKIM and SPF records, it's a good idea to check that you've set them up correctly before you begin sending campaigns. Thankfully, there are a couple of free tools out there to help you do exactly that.

MX Toolbox DKIM lookup
To test you DKIM records, you can use  MX Toolbox's DKIM lookup  feature. You'll need to enter your domain and the selector. In this case the selector will be  o1

MX Toolbox SPF records
You can also test your sender policy framework records using the  MX Toolbox SPF tool . Here, all you need to enter is your domain name.If you bump into challenges or if you’d like to validate whether domain authentication has been set up properly, you can either  email the Outfunnel support team  or get in touch via live chat.
